Today I want to share my experience working with old/new brands that have insufficient funds for an on-going PPC Campaign… I’m an honest SEO & SEM SPECIALIST, my previous projects with similar case was not a success and in-fact most of the efforts I didn’t generate any increase of sales but a loss of money eaten by PPC campaigns and SEO Tools. I reviewed my footprints and it seems that all of my efforts are the same as what experts recommends doing. So I look beyond strategies and technicalities of marketing, optimisation and branding…. As I bump into an idea “WHY NOT I’ll START AGAIN FROM SCRATCH NOT AS THE MARKETING MANAGER BUT THE BRAND ITSELT”…..?????
WHAT DO I SELL OR PROVIDE?
This is one of the important aspect of online marketing that most marketers tend to neglect and ignore kick-starting a project… I was trapped by this loop of blindness where I’m looking at the research, content, landing page and the strategies that I’ll implement along side with the data that I analyse.. So I was in this loop where I’m not getting close to my goals and objectives, which only cost the company with no ROI. And it hit me……….>

I realize that I was not thinking of the brand but was inside of a loop focusing on marketing a website/webpage in reference with it’s current and new analytics data.. As I retrace my footprints I saw the pattern that I always started projects with a kick-start research it should have started with an in-depth discussion with the owner/founder collecting important information about the business. To be able to put myself into the core purpose of the business which is the product/service. Being the product/service it’s easy to talk about the business and compellingly target demographics to convert… So I warn you not to be trap on the same loop but always remember to go back to what you sell or provide before starting a campaign/project.

When you think your efforts are not working and hitting your goals, try not to think of what strategy, what advertising platform, what on-site errors, etc… Pause and gather some new or more information about what you are marketing in an online audience, then retrace the puzzle by connecting those info with the correct approach to showcase the business with whatever tactic you might implement to generate sales.
EQUATE YOUR STRATEGIES TO SCALE DOWN RESULTS
ENGAGEMENT + CONTENT = SOCIAL + PPC / BUSINESS DATA + COMPETITIVE RESEARCH + ANALYSIS
By looking at the equation, if you transpose one to the other you’ll never going to hit your goals but you’ll end-up on a loop.. So to give you a clear overview of my conclusion, your project will only succeed if you really understand what the business is all about, what the brand is all about, what your product is all about, what your service is all about… So don’t focus on marketing the website and the technical details in working on a project.. The answers to success are always there in understanding the business knowing all the details about it.
