Did you watch the video above before started reading this post? Before I starting thinking out loud and write my thoughts around this topic I just want to thank Loudwire for their efforts in making this type of interviews because they really give fans a better insight and knowledge of the band that they listen to and follow. You can check out their youtube channel and watch other informative interviews if you like.

I know you would probably thinking thoughts like:

  • Why this awesome slayer interview video embed in this SEO/SEM related article?

  • Why would this crazy SEO Specialist be using this video for this article?

  • How the hell can this crazy specialist incorporate this very off topic video to an SEO focus topic?

  • What’s his insights?

  • What was he thinking???

  • Does he have a valuable point that impacts the SEO and Internet community?

  • Does he make any sense at all??

You’re right if you have those impression and if you really know what SEO/SEM/World Wide Web is all about…. So let me start what I’ve found in the video which led me now writing about it to share to everyone and why did it led me to write this post… =)

What are the intent of loudwire with these interviews and what do they want to gain in investing in this strategy/effort?

Personally I would say that loudwire is trying to target users to subscribe. Why? To generate that flow of traffic to their side and also creating a group of users with the same interest in one community or should I go to platform if they want access to information around their niche.

Obviously the organization, brand, business or person will have publicity from this effort and also if there are information published online which are not legit/true, this might be the best effort for them to clear & clean up their online reputation. So like Loudwire’s efforts they are giving their users/slayer fans better insights clearing those misconceptions / allegations towards the band.

I say that this could be crucial for big brands and might not be big of a deal for local businesses and organization, however it’s just good to make sure that your online reputation are clean and legit. This is what Google wants to provide their users “legit content/information” by kickstarting a campaign similar to this it will sure impact SERPS Visibility for your website and also might generate some leads/sales.

NOT EVERYTHING YOU READ ONLINE IS TRUE UNLESS THAT INFORMATION WAS WRITTEN OR SAID BY THE LEGIT SOURCE. HOWEVER IT’S ABOUT TIME TO CHECK YOUR ONLINE REPUTATION MAYBE YOU JUST DON’T NOTICE HOW MUCH DAMAGE IT DOES TO YOUR BUSINESS, BRAND, ORGANIZATION or EVEN PERSONAL CREDIBILITY ONLINE.

This campaign will surely cost money and if you don’t have enough budget and resources to have something like loudwire, i advice that it does not need to be a video interview it could be a screencast interview, google hangout or  for lesser cost blog posting your “What the internet says about my brand” campaign. You could call the campaign whatever you want..My point is it would be beneficial not only to you, your business, your brand or organization but also for Google, Users/Your demographics and Affiliated Partners (if you have some).
